Autumn Portraits with a spooky theme.
This project started off as an experimental body of work using UV light. I began experimenting with various types of foods to see which would glow, if any. I am fascinated by astronomy and Sci-fi is an interest of mine. I enjoy creating images that feature familiar subjects with an extraterrestrial vibe.
Inspired by Astronomy and the concept of a mandala, I create abstract entities that pulsate with energy; some are reminiscent of landscapes while others give freedom to the viewer to interpret them.
Every image is entirely constructed out of glass, photographed in the studio with a 4x5 film camera. Some of the images are presented as diptychs and triptychs in multiple window mats and others are presented as one piece made up of multiple prints mounted together.
